Our Client are a medium sized company (part of a multi-national corporation) which manufactures a range of CCTV and illumination products and ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) systems.
Working as part a small team as an Optical or Electronics Design Engineer you will be involved in the design and integration of a range of illumination and camera based solutions in a rapidly expanding international market.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent experience in electronics or optical electronics design and an in depth knowledge of the following:
• Hardware design
• Firmware design (embedded ‘C’ and assembler)
• PCB layout
Also experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
• TCP/IP connectivity
• EMC
• Product design and development
• LED and camera optics
• Writing Graphical User interface Software
• A practical understanding of manufacturing processes
The successful candidate will possess good communication and interpersonal skills, will be hardworking, conscientious and a self starter who works well as part of a team. There may also be an opportunity to demonstrate project management capabilities.
